A lttle bit about me ?

Ok, I have been working in design and multimedia since the age of 20 or so, ( commercially ) my formal training at Melbourne School of art for two years and my natural abilities ensured that I had a great set of skills and got into the industry through sheer persistance, hard work and a very lucky break given to me by some very special people.

Throughout the years I have earned my "professional qualifications" through experience in the field. I did this the old fashioned way as this was how it was taught to me by my many mentors, who themselves built their empires the old fashioned way on foundations of bricks and mortar by hand.

I have now furthered my qualifications by attaining a masters degree in design communication which I completed in 2009. I really wanted to create a great body of work, where by I was granted or awarded an honorary degree, something along the lines of what Billy Connelly joked about - " they just gave me mine " , but things changed and I opted to " just do it ", so now I'm " qualified " to make statements and voice my opinion relating to media and communications and a lot of other things. This decision came about in a very transitional period and I am now very glad that I achieved this, regardless of the sacrifices I had to make in life. May be in a couple of years time, I'll go and do my PHD - if I really need it, then I'll be able to put
" Dr " as my title, how cool would that be !

Laughter aside, I have perfected my time and resource managment skills throughout my education in the field, combined with my knowledge of basic accounting, business practice, my love for design and art I present my self as an all rounder and applicable to most situations required.

My greatest satisfaction is to take a job from a concept and create that concept into material to out put through multiple channels for communicating.
The clients smile is just the bonus. My other great satisfactions in life are, tropical fish, my passion is sports, especially basketball, art and motor sports. Unfortunately I'm getting older and old injuries don't allow to me to participate in such activities as I would like to, but they still are very much a part of me and get my heart racing when I watch.

I have my own set of rules which I have created for myself, which I comply to in mannerisms and ethics in business and general conduct which allows me to be the best I can be at all times. Respect is a very big part of these rules as well as ethics. I take it upon my self to educate the people so as they understand the complexities of life and to take a pro active and positive view of their environment. Sometimes this is not as easy as simply saying it, but we do have to try.
